On a beautiful spring day, Ben & Renee got ready at the Mecure Hotel Canberra before departing to Lennox Gardens for a First Look. The first look was on the main walkway from the crescent entrance with 2 photographers on site to capture the love and the looks from both directions. The beauty of a 1st look is that it takes the pressure off the ceremony and calms the nerves. If scheduled properly it also means we can do the wedding party photos before the ceremony, which allows the couple to go straight into spending time with family and guests after the service. We shot the wedding party photos at Lennox Gardens.
After the wedding party shoot it was back to the Mecure for the ceremony and Reception. The Ceremony took place in the beautiful courtyard area in the middle of the hotel. There are great mature trees and other greenery that can be used for backdrops. The old ambience of the hotel, the stair cases, wooden paneling and decor can lend itself to some fabulous wedding photography.
